From the bride…It was the fist day of High School where Daniel and I met.  Luckily, I came to math class unprepared and turned around to ask for a pen and paper from the person behind me and that was the beginning of our love story.

We ended up becoming really good friends and would hang out quite often, but somehow the timing wasn’t right. Ironically, Daniel and I never dated in High School even though we both had feelings for each other.

Fast forward to Summer 2011 where sparks flew. Daniel had reached out to me to go for a bite to eat, naturally I said yes of course! Hanging out with Daniel was always so natural, and we really compliment each other.

I should have known all along we’d somehow end up together.

The day we met up, everything changed. We definitely weren’t, “friends” anymore. We started seeing each other A LOT! Dating was so easy, nothing that either of us have ever experienced before. We ended up dating for a few years until Daniel decided to propose…

It was romantic, intimate and so classic.

August 11th, 2018 is the day we got married.

Our wedding was everything we had hoped for! We choose the most amazing vendors, all of them had gone above and beyond for us, our families supported us and spoiled us with their love, I mean common! What else can you ask for! Needles to say, everything went off without a hitch. Our guests made our day so special for us, especially with many of them being life long friends. I’m talking 15+years! The room felt so full of amazing memories and nostalgia. There was a moment during dinner where the entire room began to sing “Sweet Caroline”, it was so rare to see that many individuals all feeling that connected.

It’s hard to pick out a favorite moment in the wedding because there were so many that will remain favorites for a life time.

The moment we laid eyes on each other on the isle.

The moment we shared our first dance to the first song we let the words “love” come out of our mouths.

The moment our guests welcomed us with a toast.

Some of our favorite photographs taken from the wedding would be all 4 of our grandparents dancing together. Seeing them laughing was so heartwarming. Also, the photographs of my mom and I sharing a mother daughter dance brought me to tears. My Mama is so special to me, and having those pictures really have a special place in my heart.

My advise for couples planning their wedding is, stay collected, be organized and productive from the beginning and if you have a flexible time line, you will have less disappointment with availability of vendors.

The vendors MAKE your wedding, right down to your mental state and focus. By being patient and sourcing the best options, you will ensure you have exactly what you want. Weddings are about communication and compromising, very much like a marriage so you better get use to it!
