When did you first meet?
He lived a few streets over from me but we had never met or crossed paths. (He even went to high school, same grade, as my brother) One night me and a friend decided to meet up wit a guy she had been talking too, and Kyle was his lucky wingman. I was instantly drawn to him and likewise. Ever since that night we haven’t been apart, we will be married this year on almost our 10th anniversary!
How did the proposal happen?
Like us, the proposal was very simple. It was Christmas Day and after breakfast at my parents we had come back home to get ready for dinner at his parents. I had fallen asleep on the couch, but heard him foot steeping around me, secretive like. I woke up, and he had ran back upstairs.. (Weird I thought..) I had gone upstairs to get ready and was sitting on the edge of our bed putting my socks on when he came in he got on one knee in front of me. Just me and him. He asked me to marry to him, and spend the rest of our lives together and produced the most beautiful ring I could have hoped for. Of course I said yes, we hugged, and then hugged our dog in a group hug. Although not very “romantic” in the cliche sense, it was most romantic to me in every way.
Any advice for engaged couples who are just starting the wedding planning process?
Keep notes, pictures and lists of everything you want, to do lists! To do lists are our everything! It’s easy to get lost and overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that needs planned. Just breath and enjoy every minute of this wonderful time in your life! ?
